I kicked off the Decis SITREPS after a break of a year and immediate got a few ‘where have you been?‘ emails in response. To set the record straight I have not:
- Been in witness protection
- Joined the French Foreign legion
- Been doing time
Instead, I’ve had (and have) a real bona fide job as CTO at Hedron Analytics where we’re building emotionally aware AI avatars. The jump from keyboard monkey to CTO is a big one as well as delving deeply into computer vision so the short answer is: I’ve been at work.
Meantime, the Decis agents were running the reports daily but I was the only recipient. Given how turbulent things are at the moment, I though it made sense to turn these back on. And, now that I have a little bit of a better idea of what I’m doing at work, I have a little more time to write again.
I also renamed the blog as it’s been five years since I did much in the way of ‘pure’ risk management but whether it’s AI, risk management, or crisis management, the KISS mantra is still a factor. Plus, there are many instances where I remain simple *and* stupid.
It should go without saying but these are my own thoughts and don’t represent Hedron Analytics in any way
